Dr. Ronit Seter

Musicologist specializing in Israeli art music

Providing context for the Kolot HaLev concert which follows at 4:00pm
Dr. Ronit Seter studies twentieth-century music and served on the faculties of the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University, the George Washington University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and American University in Washington DC.
A contributor to the Grove Music Online (12 entries about Israeli composers), she has published in Tempo, Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart, Jewish Women Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia Judaica, Notes, Min-Ad, Musica Judaica, Journal of the American Musicological Society, and Musical Quarterly.
Her book in progress on Israeli composers—supported by both a stipend and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities—is under contract with Oxford University Press.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
