Israeli Women Composers

A Lecture by Dr. Ronit Seter

Dr. Ronit Seter studies twentieth-century music and specializes in Israeli art music.

She served on the faculties of the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University, the George Washington University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and American University in Washington DC.  A contributor to the Grove Music Online (12 entries about Israeli composers), she has published in Tempo, Die Musik in Geschichte und Gegenwart, Jewish Women Encyclopedia, Encyclopedia Judaica, Notes, Min-Ad, Musica Judaica, Journal of the American Musicological Society, and Musical Quarterly.
Her book in progress on Israeli composers—supported by both a stipend and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities—is under contract with Oxford University Press.

Lecture is free of charge and open to the public.
